Are there any things that can slow down my hair growth while I use horse shampoo?
I'm trying to grow my hair out longer, and I am currently using horse shampoo. Are there any things I need to avoid so my hair can grow faster?
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS FOR BEAUTY EXPERTS: Are there any other ways to grow my hair out?
There is nothing you can do to slow down or speed up your hair growth. Not even using horse shampoo (why?????). Hair grows on average 1/2 and inch per month. Some people's hair grows quicker, some slower...it's all predetermined in your DNA. And you can't alter your DNA with shampoos or conditioners. You're putting the shampoo on your hair that is already grown...hair growth begins under the scalp, in the hair follicle. Shampoo doesn't penetrate that deep. I've heard prenatal vitamins work but I've only heard that from women who are already pregnant, so I don't know if they would work on someone is not pregnant.
The main thing to keep in mind when growing out your hair is to keep it healthy. Get regular trims (every 4-6 weeks), eat lots of veggies, proteins etc. Make sure you are not over processing your hair with colors perms or any other chemicals. Don't overdry your hair with heat styling---blow dryers, flat ironing, hot rollers etc. Good luck
