Severely Damaged Hair....?
What products are best for severly damaged hair? I had my hair highlighted about 3 weeks ago, but the stupid hairdresser left the bleach on for far too long (despite him disagreeing with me).
Should I dye my hair back to my natural colour (darkest brown) so the damaged ends aren't visible? *ive had it trimmed loads so its not that bad anymore*
Also what products should I use? Kerastase Bain Satin for very dry and damaged hair? or KMS Moist Repair or Joico K-Pak??
If not those, can anyone reccomend things I can use... plz help
x
I had the same problem until just recently, but I heard about a product called Biolustre. This product is unbelievable. You can't find it in the stores, and i've asked at more than one Beauty Supply and they never heard of it, but you can order it from theior website at Biolustre.com. Give it a try, it transformed my thick, coarse frizzy hair like nothing I've ever used before, and believe me I've tried everything out there.

Take care of your hair - use kerastase hair products
Shampoos are meant to remove dirt from your hair. Shampoos have a number of qualities that should be considered before use. Conditioners are meant to add shine, protect hair from drying out and allow for easier combing. Kerastase is one of the finest brands that make best shampoos and conditioners.
Kerastase has been in the hair care industry for more than 20 years. It makes shampoo and conditioners based on customer needs. Each hair type requires different shampoo and conditioner. In this article we will be discussing about Curly and fine hair.
Coarse or Curly Hair:
Coarse hair has a diameter of 100 microns and above. Coarse hair is rough, wiry, heavy, wild and strong. This hair type is often dry. It has to be conditioned to keep it under control. Always go in for layered cut instead of blunt cut. If you have this type of hair, choose a shampoo that has wheat germ oil, shea butter and nut oils. Women with curly hair, should condition every time they shampoo. Go in for hot oil treatment once a month.
Tips:
- Always use a conditioner that is specially designed for curls.
- Avoid using hairdryers
- Never wrap your hair in a towel.
- Don't wash hair everyday.
- Avoid any products that contain alcohol, silicones and harsh, sulfate surfactants.
- Choose a hairstyle that is easy to maintain.
- Never wrap your hair in a towel.
Best Shampoo:
Kerastase Bain Satin 3: This shampoo provides additional nutrients to drench very dry, very sensitized hair.
Benefits:
- Works as a cleaning agent for your hair.
- Nourishes hair by Cationic Polymers
- Protects hair fiber by Silicone Derivatives
- Leaves hair soft, supple, shiny and manageable.
- Suitable for very dry and damaged hair
Best Conditioner: Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense
This conditioner is rich and ultra-moisturizing. This conditioner is for people who have very dry hair. Use this conditioner, after shampooing your hair. Pat hair dry, then coat in this mask. Leave it for a few minutes. Then rinse it, you'll have soft, manageable hair.
Fine, oily or limp hair:
Fine hair has a diameter of 50 microns. This type of hair often has natural shine. Fine hair is soft, shine, limp, flyaway, lifeless and flat. General rule for fine hair is that the shorter it is, the lighter it is and therefore the less limp and flat it is. Always use clear shampoos and avoid creamy ones. Buy a gentle shampoo which can be used daily or frequent washing. While buying a shampoo for this type of hair, see to it that Panthenol ingredient is included in it. Panthenol penetrates the hair cuticle making each strand thicker. Conditioners are good for combing out fine hair.
Best Shampoo:
Kerastase Volumactive Shampoo: Volumizing shampoos were made for the challenges of fine hair. This shampoo was designed to clean and remove oils and also to alter the thickness of the hair shaft. Stay away from shampoos with added conditioning products which can cause your hair to look limp. This shampoo can be found in top salons in the country. This shampoo can last for more than year.
Best Conditioner:
Kerastase Volumactive Mask:
Don't allow the product touch your scalp. Use this volumizing mask every other wash.
Benefits:
- Hair is contoured and amplified from root to end.
- Each stand is fortified, giving it more strength
- Hair is left with long-lasting volume and advanced conditioning.
